Chocolate-Filled Mini Pizza Boxes

Hi! I'm up on the Momenta blog today with these chocolate-filled mini pizza boxes :)

My daughter has several wonderful educators in her life that I like to express my appreciation to whenever I can.  This being Valentine's month, I thought it was a perfect opportunity to shower them with some yummy chocolates presented in handmade boxes.

Some of the sentiments are die cuts and others are stickers that I turned into die cuts by covering the adhesive with baby powder and then adhering to the project with foam tape.

The die cuts, the stickers, the cream damask paper, and the silver-grey patterned paper are all from the Story of Us scrapbook kit... such gorgeous designs in there!

Those lovely dimensional flowers are clear layered stickers that come already assembled... all you have to do is peel and stick to the project.  They're really pretty!

These are mini pizza boxes that measure 4 inches x 4 inches x 1 inch.  I used this tutorial to make them.  Of course I had to sample the chocolates as I worked, and not just one... oops :)

Although these are love-themed, they can easily be adapted to suit your needs.  Think Easter, birthday party and shower favors, end-of-the-year teacher gifts... the possibilities are endless.  Momenta has quite a large variety of themed products to choose from.

Little Yellow Bicycle February/March Sketch

Little Yellow Bicycle's February/March sketch was announced today, and it's a great one!  I was completely excited and honored to have been asked to create this sample layout for it.

My sweet little girl started preschool last week... she's not even quite two yet... I know, right?!  She did fantastically and really enjoyed herself.  I'm so glad!

I knew LYB's Paradise collection would be just perfect for the photos we took of her that morning.  The beautiful colors... the darling prints.... the totally on-the-money phrases on the embellishments... talk about a match made in Heaven (Paradise)!

The paper flower kit is definitely among my favorites.  The flowers come cut, scored, and ready to be personalized.  I LOVE how much time the flower kit saves!  Here I've clustered some flowers with some clear cut shapes, a chipboard sticker, cardstock stickers, and punched butterflies.  I thought the "Adventure" banner sticker made for a wonderful finish to the cluster.

There are so many wonderful embellishments to choose from.  Here I've nestled a small tear-out ticket stating "fly free" among some more flowers, clear cut shapes, and fabric stickers.  I popped the embossed cardstock letter stickers off the page with some foam tape.

Here is the sketch created by the amazing Liz Qualman.  You will probably notice that I've moved a couple of the elements slightly and used a bracket shape instead of a square, but otherwise followed her wonderful sketch.  That's the beauty of sketches... you can use them exactly as they are or just as starting points.

I hope you will have a chance to participate in the challenge.  There will be THREE winners!!!  The grand prize is $50 in LYB product, and the runners up prizes are $25 in LYB product.  You can find all of the details on the LYB blog.

Thank you so much, Liz and Little Yellow Bicycle!

Momenta Birthday Card

Hi!  Here's a fun birthday card that I had up on the Momenta blog last week.

All of the patterned cardstock is from the adorable Family Outings premium paper pad.  There are so many cute patterns in there that can be used for a variety of themes.  Here I've used it for this birthday card.

Isn't that sparkly, dimensional elephant cute?!  He's even holding a sparkly pennant in his trunk!  The sentiment is simply a vellum message sticker... those are perfect for cards.

Have you visited the Momenta blog recently?  With a fresh team comes fresh inspiration, and there is lots of that on the blog!

My Creative Sketches News and Prima Sketch Contest

Hi friends!

I had such a wonderful time guest designing for My Creative Scrapbook kit club in December and again in February.  I'm so happy to say that it looks like the MCS fun is going to continue for me, as I have been invited to join the My Creative Scrapbook sketch team and also may have an opportunity to guest design again in the future... THANK YOU, PAM!

MCS has really awesome sketch contests each month, and this month's has just been announced... it's a biggie... Prima!

Look at the main prize... lots and lots of Prima!!!

The sketch contest begins today and ends on March 14th at midnight EST.  The main winner will be voted on and two additional winners will be selected via random draw.  You can find the sketch and all of the details on the My Creative Sketches blog.

The girls at My Creative Scrapbook LOVE Prima flowers so they are giving a package of Prima flowers away to every new kit member during the contest (limited to the first 50 members).  For the current members, just invite a friend to join the club and you both will receive Prima flowers in your kit the first shipment of the promotion.  What could be more fun?

Eyelet Outlet & Brads! cards

Hi everyone!  If you love brads and matching ribbon, you may be happy to know that Eyelet Outlet has released several new designs to add to their already HUGE selection of products.

This month, the design team is featuring many of the new products on the Eyelet Outlet blog.  Today I'd like to share a few simple cards that I've made with some of the new brads and ribbon.

Mixer & cup brads and mixer & cup ribbon were used on this card.
The paper is Little Yellow Bicycle, Making Memories, and Momenta.

Baseball brads and baseball ribbon were used here along with My Mind's Eye paper.

This card has football brads and football ribbon with Little Yellow Bicycle paper.

This last one has 2 cute winking owl brads, a mini butterfly brad, and owl ribbon.
The papers are Jillibean Soup.

Eyelet Outlet is one of the largest suppliers of eyelets and brads on the internet, so be sure to have a look at their inventory when looking for themed embellishments.

Snow Fun

Hi friends!  This layout of my daughter's first experience with running around in the snow is up on the My Little Shoebox blog this week.  I combined products from two collections, Playtime and Winter Wonderland, to create this.

I love that there are so many perfectly coordinating die cuts, roll-up flowers, and stickers with each MLS collection.  They make the embellishing process so quick and easy!  I usually like to dress mine up with Stickles and/or faux pearls but they would work just as well as-is.

If you are celebrating Valentine's Day today, I hope it's wonderful :)  Allison and I delivered yummy sweet treats to her educators, her librarians, and my co-workers.  She had a great time!

Published!

Hi blog friends!

I'm super excited to share my very first Northridge Publishing publication.  It's so rewarding for me to see my mini album of Allison's first year featuring the Sew Cute collection from My Little Shoebox in the Winter 2011 edition of the Create: Mini Albums idea book!

I saw it in a bookstore when I was visiting my family (and civilization) over the holidays, but today I received my own copy in the mail.  Perfect timing too, because I need to get going on another mini album assignment but seem to have misplaced my mini album-creating mojo.

A two-page spread!

Thanks for sharing in my excitement :)

My Creative Scrapbook February Creative Kit

Today I have my projects created with the Creative Kit from My Creative Scrapbook.  I had such an amazing time guest designing and want to express my heartfelt thanks to Pam for including me.

The kit features the adorable Love Struck collection from We R Memory Keepers and even includes stamps!  It was a totally fun kit to work with.

The February design team gallery is absolutely BURSTING with an incredible amount of amazing inspirational projects created with all 4 of the February kits.  But don't take my word for it... go have a look for yourself... you'll be very glad you did!

My Creative Scrapbook February Album Kit

Hi everyone!  Reveal time at My Creative Scrapbook came a couple days early this month... what a treat!!!

I was very fortunate to have been invited to guest design for a second time and I'm super excited to share the kits and my projects with you.  Today I have my Album Kit projects, which I must admit are very high on my "favorite things that I've created" list.

As you can see, this kit features the gorgeous Yours Truly collection from Echo Park.  I absolutely LOVE this kit!!! I am very much into timeless and classy patterns and colors that have lots of versatility, and this kit is exactly all of those things.

If you have a chance, stop by again tomorrow because I'll have my Creative Kit projects posted :)

Many Thanks

Hi friends!

I wanted to take this moment to express my appreciation to you for visiting my blog.  It means so much to me to be able to share my love for this hobby with my online friends!  I really appreciate that we can share inspiration and encouragement with each other.

I created this card yesterday.  Would you believe that most of the supplies are scraps from a My Creative Scrapbook kit from June 2010?!  That's the thing about Pam's kits... they're so beautiful and timeless... much too pretty to get rid of even the smallest scraps.

Momenta Cards

Hi friends!  I have this pair of wedding cards showing on the Momenta blog this week.

I absolutely love the timeless and classy colors and patterns that make up Momenta's Story of Us 5x7 cardstock pad.  So much so, that I ordered three more of those pads yesterday so that I can have plenty on hand.

The pretty wedding bells are from one of Momenta's clear layered sticker sets.  Those stickers make card-embellishing so quick and easy... just remove from package and stick it on!

The lace was a gift from my friend Tanya!

The flowers and champagne glasses here are also Momenta's clear layered stickers.  Love those!

Oh yeah... had a chance to play with a new border die, too :)

A complete supply list is included in my blog post on the Momenta blog, so if you'd like any of those details, please head on over there :)

My Creative Scrapbook February Sneak Peeks

Good morning!

I'm so thrilled to share that I've been blessed with another month of guest designing for My Creative Scrapbook kit club.  What an honor it is to have this chance to design with Pam's outstanding kits along with her uber talented, highly supportive design team.

Before I share my sneak peeks at my February kit work, I want to mention that Pam has spent the past few days at CHA placing lots and lots of orders for beautiful new products for the upcoming kits.  She described what she ordered with one word... "EVERYTHING"!!!  She's very excited about what she has planned for her upcoming kits, as am I.

If you have been considering subscribing to the club, now would be an ideal time!

Here are my Album Kit sneak peaks:

and my Creative Kit sneak peeks:

You can find the entire team's sneaks on the MCS message board, here!
