My Little Shoebox!

For the past couple of weeks I have been practically bursting at the seams to shout out this incredibly exciting news.  It's been really hard to keep this a secret, but today's the day that I can finally shout it out.

I've been invited to join the My Little Shoebox design team!

I was totally surprised to receive that super exciting phone call, and I had such a huge smile on my face for so long that my cheeks were seriously hurting.  I still can't believe I made it.

You can read the full announcement if you would like to on the My Little Shoebox blog.

Off I go to smile and jump up and down some more!

Bzz! Bzz!

My Little Shoebox has their March sketch challenge up on their blog, so I gave it a go with this photo of my sweet little Allison in her bumble bee onesie.  The onesie even has pretty bee wings on the back!  How stinkin' cute is that.

Love the dimension that some fussy-cutting, bending, curling, and pop dots add!

Thanks for stopping by :)

Bumble Bee

Here's another layout created with the Scrapbook Daisies "Hello Sunshine" March kit.

When I saw that adorable bumble bee embellishment in the kit, I just knew I had to use it for photos of Allison in her bumble bee onesie!

Here is the PageMaps sketch that I used.  It's the sketch selected for the March PageMaps sketch challenge at Scrapbook Daisies:

Want a chance to win an entire Scrapbook Daisies kit?  All you need to do is complete any of the Scrapbook Daisies March challenges (there are SEVEN challenges to choose from!) and upload it to the specified areas of the message board by midnight PST on March 31st.  One lucky participant will win one of the fantastic kits that Scrapbook Daisies has to offer!  How awesome is that?!

You can find the color challenge, journaling challenge, lift challenge, and stash challenge in the "Monthly Design Team Challenges" section of the message board.

The Sketchy Thursdays, Kristine Davidson, and PageMaps sketch challenges are located in the "Sketch Challenges" section.

What are you waiting for?  Seriously... how many other kit clubs give away an entire kit each and every month just for participating in a challenge?

Scrapbook Daisies Blog Hop *Giveaways*

Welcome to the next stop on the Scrapbook Daisies Blog Hop!  If you have arrived here first, then please start in the beginning at the Scrapbook Daisies home blog and do the hop in order... you will be glad you did!  http://scrapbookdaisies.blogspot.com/

Scrapbook Daisies offers multiple kits each month that are filled with the latest and greatest products available.  Each kit provides enough paper and embellishments to create several projects.

I designed with the super adorable "Hello Sunshine" kit this month.

Here are some of the projects that I created with the kit :)

The tenderly soft pastel blues and pinks in this kit were just screaming to be combined with the lovely brown and with that gorgeous white doily.  I thought they were a perfect match for this sweet photo of my little Allison.  This pink flower was made using a scalloped circle punch, scissors, misted water, heat gun, 5-petal flower punch, puffy paint, and one of the tiny blooms from the kit.  Don't you just love that gorgeous blue trim?  Thanks for the wonderful sketch, Kristine :)

I pulled some of the brighter colors in the kit for this one to go with this bright happy photo of my happy little girl.  I love all the dimension that the kit's embellishments added to my page.  I assembled a couple of journaling spots in green and white (which I ended up not journaling on LOL), a handful of punched butterflies, a few sprays of pink Glimmer Mist, and some faux stitching with my white pen... and the page was finished in no time.

Don't toss those kit leftovers!  Look what a few scraps of paper, a scrap of trim, and one of the cute little embellishments can do for some kraft cardstock and twine from your stash!

Same thing here... a quick but cute card using kit leftovers with a piece of my kraft cardstock, some foam tape, and some machine stitching... simple but sure to brighten someone's day, I hope!

This is not all... I have another layout to share using some more of the yellows and that adorable bumble bee embellishment that you may have noticed in the photo of the kit... but I cannot reveal it just yet as it's my sample for our March 20th sketch challenge, and, well, it's not March 20th yet :)

Now, if you are playing along with the blog hop's trivia questions for a chance at a yummy prize from Scrapbook Daisies, here's the question from my blog:

How many design team members does Scrapbook Daisies have?
(hint: You can probably find out by visiting the website)

Don't forget to comment as well as become a follower of all the blog posts in the hop this month.  One lucky winner will be drawn from all of the comments to receive a yummy prize from Scrapbook Daisies.

Also...Scrapbook Daisies is on FACEBOOK!!! Take a minute to head over there and become a follower and leave a note on the wall!

The company page is here:

and the group page is here:
http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=58322850850

Then you have one last step: email Misty at mistyw@nctv.com with your answers to the "Trivia Questions" that you found at each blog, putting Scrapbook Daisies Hop in the Subject line. You will then be entered to win 1 of the great kits Scrapbook Daisies has to offer!

Okay, I have a little giveaway of my own to send to someone.  Spring is coming (soon for some of you but not so soon for the rest of us) and Spring makes me think of flowers.

If you would like to be included in my random drawing for this assortment of loose flowers (mostly Prima) then please mention these flowers in your comment on my post (the flowers will be sent loose in a package and not in a heart-shape hehe).

Ready for Snow

We won't be seeing shorts and t-shirt weather here in Wyoming any time soon.  While that's unfortunate, it does give me more opportunities to take pictures of Allison in her winter gear.

 Love that Crate Paper collection!
(there's a piece of My Mind's Eye in there too)

I did some machine stitching and also used a few of my favorite border punches.

I added pearl dimensional paint to the foam alphas for added interest.

The snowflakes are Heidi Swapp ghost shapes.
I covered them with Glossy Accents and  Diamond Dust.

I'm hosting the color challenge this month at Scrapbook Daisies.
This was the color palette that I chose.

Did you know that there are several, I'm talking at least 7, challenges going on each and every month at Scrapbook Daisies?  You really ought to consider participating.  You have the entire month to complete the challenges, and some lucky scrapper will win an entire past Scrapbook Daisies kit.  You only have to complete one challenge to be eligible for the prize.  I hope to see you there.
